EPHEMERA

EPHEMERA is an audiovisual installation presented at Bright Festival 2025 in Florence. In a world where time is perceived as an endless forward motion, Ephemera offers a radical shift in perspective: the time of nature, of life itself, is not linear,but cyclical. Echoing Heraclitus’ words, "change is the only constant", the work captures time within a suspended microcosm, allowing its slow, ceaseless flow to become visible and tangible. Inside this glass case, the fleeting yet vivid existence of a hybrid organism unfolds, surrounded by a lush, untamed landscape. The environment itself is alive, evolving through a continuous and fluid morphing process. Here, morphing is not merely an aesthetic choice, but a visual language that speaks of perpetual transformation: a never-ending motion where forms are in constant becoming. Born from a desire to explore our perception of time, Ephemera offers a space for stillness, a contemplative pause in the midst of a world ruled by urgency. In a society that has forgotten the value of waiting, this installation invites viewers to reclaim slowness, to rediscover patience, and to marvel at the subtle poetry of change.
